Practicaps Photography and Imaging was founded in 1996 as an on-line enterprise for  published author and award winning photographer David Rich. Originally specialising in Fine Art Prints and Wall Art photography, Practicaps concentrated on Nature, WildLife, Landscape and Panoramic prints for home and commercial display.

In 2008, the increasing calls on David and wife Jean as wedding photographers resulted in a decision to concentrate on the needs of Brides and Grooms and to make other photography a secondary concern.

David is a Member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International, The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, The British Professional Photographers Associates and the World Institute of Photographic Masters. He  is also a Member of the Society of International Wildlife and Nature Photographers and a Foundation Member of PhotoArt.com where he is moderator of the Wedding Photographers’ Group “Here Comes the Bride”.

In addition to graduate and post-graduate honours from several universities (majoring in Psychology and Sociology), David holds a Diploma in Professional Photography. His photography has appeared in Australian and International photography magazines. His other publication credits include poetry, peer-reviewed Social Research and computer science. He is the author a major clinical textbook (The Midas Manual of Dual Disorders for Health Professionals). His paintings have been hung in several commercial galleries, and his landscape and nature photography can be seen hanging on permanent  display in a number of public buildings in Sydney.
